Awesome Sixth Form Results!

Today Sixth Form students at The Whitstable School are celebrating! Many have secured places at a range of universities and other destinations following strong A Level and vocational qualification results.  As expectations of national examinations return to normal, the performance of the students has improved on pre-Covid levels, continuing the upward trend the school has seen over several years.

Particular highlights included amazing Art A Level results with all students achieving grade A, BTEC Business Diploma with students achieving an average grade of double Distinction*, IB Social and Cultural Anthropology with all students achieving Grade 6 (equivalent of grade A)

100% of students secured pass grades in all subjects, with over 90% of students who applied to university being successful with their first choice (well above the national average this year). This year saw over 50% of the cohort applying to university with students awarded confirmed places studying courses such as Biochemistry at University of Kent, Computer Science at UEA, and Accounting & Finance at University of York.

Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Brown  was very pleased for students, saying “The students have worked incredibly hard despite challenging circumstances, and their results are fantastic! This is all part of our ‘Learn Locally, Think Globally’ vision. Our Sixth Form offers a broad and aspirational curriculum,  preparing students well for further study and the workplace.”

There are still spaces at our Sixth Form for next year, if you would like to find out more please contact Mrs Brown, Head of Sixth by email Luci.Brown@swale.at
