KS4 Results 2021
Today students at The Whitstable School secured places at a range of sixth forms following strong GCSE and vocational results.
Although national examinations were cancelled, students have been assessed on a range of criteria including their performance in mock assessments and coursework. The good results follow an upward trend in the school over several years and an increase in numbers of pupils choosing to stay on and join the school’s successful sixth form.
Particular highlights included Tarah Thorne who excelled with one 9 grade, three 8s and four 7s. Athena May gained two grade 9s, two grade 8s, two grade 7s and a Distinction Plus. In addition, Holly Duggan managed to secure six grade 7s alongside a Distinction Plus.
Headteacher Ana Gibson was very pleased for Year 11 students, saying “The students have worked incredibly hard despite challenging circumstances and their results are fantastic. This is all part of our ‘Learn Locally, Think Globally’ vision. Our sixth form offers a broad and balanced curriculum and prepares students well for further study and the workplace so we are delighted so many of our pupils will be staying with us.”
