Uniform
The Whitstable School's uniform is, we believe, smart and practical.
Please familiarise yourself with the Uniform Policy to ensure that your child has the correct uniform and PE Kit.
We have recently updated our uniform policy to reduce the amount of school branded uniform items.
School uniform and PE Kit are available to order locally at Barnums School Wear Ltd, 12-16 William Street, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 5EJ. You can view the uniform online here.
The PE kit can also be purchased through Ambition Sport and can be purchased as individual items or as packages. You can order the PE kit online here.
Kits can be delivered free to the school or at a cost to your house. Please see the Uniform Policy for compulsory requirements.
Marking of Property
Please mark clearly and permanently all items of clothing and equipment including PE kits, coats, trainers and shoes.
Lost Property
Lost property is currently stored in each Year Hub. Named items are returned to pupils. At the end of Terms 2, 4 and 6 what is left will be passed to Reception. Parents will be informed when the property is in reception and when they can come and look through it. Any unclaimed clothing at the end of Term 6 will either be donated to a local school clothing charity or laundered and added to our uniform cupboard.
High Value Items
Pupils should not bring expensive items or large sums of money to school.
All mobile phones, entertainment equipment or other high value items brought into school by pupils is done so entirely at their own risk, the school will not be held responsible for loss or damage.
Confiscated Items
Confiscated items will be stored securely in Reception. Items will be placed in an envelope with the pupil name on and depending on the sanction either the pupil or the parent will need to collect the item.
